We are looking for a passionate and experienced Human Resources Manager for our Orlando office to support our highly dynamic talent and play a vital role in our growth. This is a key position that provides consulting expertise, which includes the following areas: organizational development, employee relations, benefits administration and management, payroll, performance management, compensation, employee retention, and manager coaching. The right person will be comfortable in an "all hands-on deck" environment, loves solving people problems and can thrive in a fast-paced culture. The position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources while assuring that PlanSource continues to attract, develop and retain the best talent.


About the Human Resources Manager Position


The Human Resources Manager is a highly visible role that plays an important and proactive part in all aspects of the employee life cycle. The ideal candidate is one who has worked in a mature startup-like environment, wants to be a difference maker and keen to deliver continuous improvement based on internal and external best practices, while adherence to standard process and policy.

No two days will be the same for the Human Resources Manager, but these will be your primary responsibilities:


  • Provide core human resources support to management across several business units, particularly in the areas of performance management, talent development, team building, and leadership development
  • Provide expertise in development and execution, planning, and facilitation related to the development and implementation of HR processes, automation of workflows, introduction of new programs and incentives while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. Provide information and orientation regarding Human Resources programs and policies
  • Build effective relationships with managers, employees, and executives alike, advocating for employees’ needs and wants
  • Deliver appropriate coaching and development feedback to managers and employees to identify and develop high potential employees
  • Champion the Check-In Performance Process across the organization, including process, system, communications, trainings/materials and execution
  • Act as the lead on benefits administration and management driving wellness efforts and benefits strategies that allow for an effective and comprehensive benefits package to be offered while promoting employee wellbeing and modern cost management strategies
  • Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with internal counsel as needed/required
  • Serve as consultant for employee relations issues; coaching and mediation for employees & management, guide disciplinary & termination discussions, conduct employee focus groups, etc.
  • Suggest, design and coordinate Compensation Planning and reward systems, working in conjunction with management
  • Perform job analyses/evaluations and prepare job designs involving assigned areas
  • Drive employee engagement efforts through execution of employee engagement survey, analysis of results, and development and execution of engagement strategy
  • Support employee new hire orientation and schedule and perform employee onboarding activities
  • Maintain business unit headcount information to be used in HR reporting requirements
  • Coordinate company events and employee activities such as the holiday parties and team building events with designated team members
  • Develop and maintain employee recognition programs such as length of service awards, employee of the quarter, etc.
  • Respond to requests for information from DOL and other agencies. Responsible for quarterly Labor & Industries Reporting
  • Provide innovative ideas to advance human resources effectiveness and share best practices
  • Provide training, mentorship and expertise to members of Human Resources including the Payroll Specialist and local Office Administrator
  • Other projects responsibilities as they come up

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in an HR related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years progressive Human Resources experience
  • 4+ years’ experience managing staff professionals
  • Human Resources experience with technology, or SaaS related organizations with at least 250 employees strongly preferred
  • Track record of strong business partnership within a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines including compensation practices, employee relations, performance management, federal and state employment laws
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • Experience assessing and building recruiting strategies, including resource and process improvement
  • Willing and able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities and demonstrate flexibility       
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Excellent written and analytical skills
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience supporting and influencing colleagues at all levels, from employees through executives
  • Must be able to work outside of normal work hours occasionally
