PlanSource is a high-growth software company headquartered in Orlando, Florida with offices in Salt Lake City, Denver, Las Vegas, Minneapolis and Charleston. We are looking for an Content Marketing Manager to be an integral part of our marketing team. The individual will report to our Sr. Manager of Demand Generation and will be based in the Charleston, South Carolina office. The Content Marketing Manager will be a highly-organized and creative content creator who will author content for and manage webinars, social media, downloadable content (eBooks, guides, infographics, etc.) and the PlanSource blog.


 About the Content Marketing Manager Role

The Content Marketing Manager will have a major role in creating compelling content that enhances the PlanSource brand and ultimately drives demand.


The Content Marketing Manager will collaborate with designers and other team members to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan that fuels our demand generation engine. While day-to-day tasks may vary, some of your duties are to:

  • Create resources that drive awareness, lead generation, prospect discovery and brand awareness such as blogs, webinars, eBooks, infographics, guides, templates, etc.
  • Write engaging and entertaining content for marketing campaigns, presentations, websites, sales tools, blogs, social media, webinars, advertisements, trade show marketing and other digital and print media that is consistent with our brand
  • Manage the PlanSource webinar program and blog, which includes content creation as well as project management skills

About You

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of content creation and/or marketing experience in HR, healthcare or benefits. You love to write and collaborate with designers to create creative and engaging content. You work well on your own and as a part of a small, highly-effective team. You are a storyteller, that when not creating content, can identify thought leaders within the company and position them well in the market – whether through blogs, webinars or other opportunities. In addition, you have:


  • Experience creating content for the web and growing a social audience.
  • An editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create targeted content.
  • A dual-minded approach: You’re highly creative and an excellent writer but can also be process-driven and rely on data to make decisions.
  • The ability to analyze and present content and social performance.
  • Experience with Google analytics, email automation software, popular social channels, and website creation tools such as Wordpress or squarespace
  • A solid understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement
  • An understanding of the best practices of the main social media channels, including which content and approaches work on each and why
  • Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; you like the idea of creating and maintaining a library of content that is persuasive and thoughtfully written.
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to foster collaboration and value other perspectives; a team player.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Communications, Sales, Marketing, English, Business Management or related field.
