Summary

PlanSource is a high-growth software company headquartered in Orlando, Florida with offices in Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, Charleston, Las Vegas and Ada, MI.  We are searching for an experienced EDI Coordinator to provide internal and external support as an Electronic Data Interface resource and subject matter expert.

 

About EDI Coordinator position

This position is responsible for providing vendor management to ensure the data interfaces are being completed effectively between the external vendors, third parties and carriers. This position will facilitate the integration process to ensure the configuration of each client is being completed while adhering to necessary project plans, timelines and quality standards. The EDI Coordinator should possess subject matter expertise with designing, implementing and maintaining complex interfaces specific to census, payroll and carrier files. 

 

  • Oversee interface projects, provide technical support, and facilitate completion of EDI configuration.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal team members, external vendors and carriers related to interface projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors, third parties and carriers.
  • Coordinate with third parties for interfaces during implementation, renewal and special projects.
  • Research escalations from internal and external team members for ongoing issues
  • Review standard and complex EDI files
  • Resolve data discrepancies from interfaces
  • Proactively identify and resolve risks and provide proper escalation for high level resolutions.
  • Maintain best practices and proactively recommend opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Coach and train internal members of the benefit administration team on best practices and client-specific knowledge.
  • Participate and/or facilitate meetings with clients, carriers and other internal departments.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

About You

The ideal candidate will bring experience within a health care, health and welfare consulting, insurance brokerage, human resources consulting, or employee benefits related industry.   Related exposure to Benefits Administration, COBRA, Spending Accounts, HRIS, and/or Payroll environments is a plus.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with external vendors and/or third parties.
  • Demonstrated experience with file troubleshooting and configuration experience required.
  • Working knowledge of Benefit Enrollment Data Processing transactions is preferred.
  • Proven ability to multitask, adjust priorities, meet deadlines, and successfully operate in a fast-paced work environment;
  • Ability to follow through on and successfully execute tasks while adhering to specified quality standards;
  • Excellent problem analysis, troubleshooting, problem solving and decision making skills;
  • Strong organizational, analytical skills and strong attention to detail;
  • Possess proactive mindset to seek information to create effective solutions;
  • Strong project management and project planning skills;
  • Skills in delegating tasks and responsibilities;
  • Skills in coaching, mentoring, teambuilding and motivating others;
  • Proven ability to build rapport while providing superior customer service and maintaining positive relationships with internal teams and client contacts;
  • Ability to work well independently and as a team member;
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
  • Intermediate experience in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
